Product introduction:

The composite particle spray track is a cost-effective plastic track with a composite structure of polyurethane and rubber particles. The bottom layer is made of rubber particles as the base and PU rubber sealing layer, and the surface layer is high-pressure sprayed with EPDM colored particles. It combines the economy of the breathable type with the structural stability of the mixed type, meeting the requirements of the national standard GB 36246-2018. It is the preferred paving type for primary and secondary school track and field stadiums, campus comprehensive sports venues, and national fitness centers.

Core structure and standard specifications

The standard paving thickness is 13mm. For areas such as high jump and long jump, it can be thickened to 15-20mm. The double-layer composite structure balances elasticity and practicality.

1.Base layer (10mm) : Use black rubber particles as the base, mix in an appropriate amount of single-component PU glue and spread it evenly. Then, apply a thin PU seal layer on the surface to enhance the structural density, taking into account both the elasticity and load-bearing capacity of the foundation.

2.Surface layer (3mm) : High-strength wear-resistant PU glue is mixed with colored EPDM particles and formed through high-pressure spraying process. The particles adhere closely.  It has anti-slip properties, good color saturation and foot feel.

It combines the construction convenience of the breathable type with the structural stability of the mixed type. Its elasticity and durability are superior to those of the breathable type, and its cost is lower than that of the mixed type of granular spray track. It is suitable for venues with limited budgets and basic performance requirements.

2.Basic sports protection: 

Shock absorption 32%-48%, vertical deformation 0.5-2.2mm, rebound rate ≥65%, can effectively buffer the impact force of daily sports and basic training, reduce joint injuries, and meet the sports needs of campus teaching and national fitness.

3.Weather-resistant, damage-resistant and easy to maintain: 

Resistant to ultraviolet rays, ozone and mild acid rain erosion, the surface color remains long-lasting without fading, scratch-resistant and compression-resistant, and is not prone to sanding even after frequent daily use. The surface is hydrophobic, dries quickly after rain without water accumulation, and local damage can be repaired rapidly, with low maintenance costs.

4.Stable structure and anti-bubbling: 

The bottom PU seal layer can reduce direct water vapor penetration while retaining a certain amount of breathable space. Compared with purely breathable running tracks, the risk of bubbling and delamination is lower, making it suitable for outdoor venues in most regions.

Key points of construction

The base layer is made of cement concrete or asphalt, with moderate requirements for the flatness of the base layer (flatness error ≤3mm/3m, moisture content ≤8%). The core construction steps are:

1.Base treatment: 

Leveling, repair, decontamination, and application of special interface agent to enhance interlayer adhesion.

2.Base layer spreading:

Mix black rubber particles with PU glue and stir them. After mechanical spreading and compaction, apply a thin PU seal layer to seal the surface pores.

3.Surface layer spraying: 

Special high-pressure spraying equipment is used to cross-spray the mixture of PU glue and EPDM colored particles to ensure uniform particle distribution and consistent anti-slip texture.

4.Curing acceptance: 

The entire area is ventilated and cured for 6 to 8 days. After passing the tests for flatness, elasticity and anti-slip performance, it can be put into use.

Applicable scene

It is applicable to standard track and field stadiums in primary and secondary schools, comprehensive sports venues in campuses, urban fitness centers for all, and sports tracks in community parks. It can also be used for non-professional training grounds in vocational colleges and auxiliary tracks around gymnasiums, but is not suitable for professional competitive events or provincial-level or higher professional training grounds.
