Introduction: 

"Semi-prefabrication", as the name suggests, refers to the situation where some processes are completed in the factory and some on site. 

Its core feature is: in the factory, dense and wear-resistant surface layer rolls with fixed texture are pre-produced, then transported to the site and laid on the pre-spread and on-site cast elastic layer , and bonded into a whole through chemical reactions.

It can be simply understood as a two-step process of "factory prefabricated surface layer + on-site cast base layer".

Structure:

Its structure is usually divided into two layers: 

1.On-site pouring elastic layer (bottom) : 

material: usually polyurethane mixed glue and epdm granule, mixing, paving, leveling in construction field. This layer is mainly responsible for providing the elasticity and buffering performance of the system.

Construction: similar to traditional hybrid track’s elastic layer construction.

2.Factory prefabrication wear-resisting surface (surface) : 

materials and production: Pre-manufactured in the factory. Usually made of high wear-resistant polyurethane pulp or composite materials containing EPDM granule, and  form uniform, dense surface texture (such as litchi, texture lines)through the mold or surface embossing.

Construction: When the elastic layer poured at the construction site has not yet fully cured (in a "wet state"), the prefabricated surface layer rolls are spread out and laid on it, and then rolled with special tools. At this point, the wet polyurethane at the bottom layer will undergo chemical cross-linking and physical penetration with the bottom of the prefabricated surface layer, achieving molecular-level bonding. After curing, it forms a solid whole.

Main advantages: 

combining the advantages of prefabrication and cast-in-place:

1.The surface performance is excellent and uniform.

The surface layer is prefabricated in the factory, ensuring the consistency of texture depth, uniformity and friction coefficient, and avoiding problems such as color difference, orange peel texture and uneven particle distribution that may be caused by on-site spraying.

The surface is dense and impermeable, similar to fully prefabricated and mixed types. It is easy to clean and has good weather resistance.

2.It has strong integrity and is not prone to stratification.

Due to the "wet-sticking" process, the bottom layer and the surface layer are chemically bonded, with a very strong bonding force, fundamentally solving the risks of surface layer delamination, bubbling and bulging that may occur in traditional composite running tracks.

3.The requirement for the flatness of the foundation is relatively reduced.

The on-site cast elastic layer has certain leveling property and self-leveling ability, which can make up for some minor defects of the foundation. The requirement for the flatness of the foundation is lower than that of the fully prefabricated type (the fully prefabricated type has extremely strict requirements).

4.High comprehensive cost performance

Compared with the fully prefabricated type, the cost is significantly reduced. Compared with the traditional hybrid/compound type, although the cost is a little high, but provides a more reliable surface quality and integrity, longer service life and lower maintenance costs.

5.It has good environmental protection performance.

During the on-site construction stage, the main task is the laying of the elastic layer, and the release of volatile organic compounds is lower than that of the full on-site spraying process. The prefabricated surface layer has been cured in the factory, and the release of harmful substances has been basically stable.
